As a Computational Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping On's future by leveraging your expertise in computationally driven product design and innovation. You'll work closely with the Innovation and Footwear Design teams to drive new digital generative capabilities, streamline design processes, and contribute to the development of On's most cutting-edge products and technologies such as LightSpray .
Your Mission
- Utilize your 2D and 3D computational design skills to develop groundbreaking product concepts.
- Inspire and implement computational design across all product functions, driving innovation throughout the design process.
- Use rapid prototyping to turn blue-sky ideas into proof of concepts, bridging innovation with inline design.
- Collaborate closely with the Innovation Sports Science, Technology, and Material teams to turn ideas into prototypes.
- Partner with our Europe- and Asia-based Innovation and development teams to create performance-driven, scalable product concepts.
- Serve as a link between innovation and inline teams to ensure smooth scalability of new designs.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in product/industrial design, architecture, computer science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience using 2D and 3D design software, with at least 3 years in computational or advanced CAD design.
- Experience in launching complex product designs, with proven success in delivering innovative solutions.
- Expertise in Rhino, Grasshopper and skills in platforms like Maya, ZBrush, or Python or similar.
- Experience with additive manufacturing and advanced manufacturing methods.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and experience working cross functionally.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
