We are UB International, a boutique executive search firm specialized in fashion and luxury goods, Pharma and Real Estate.
The company was founded in 2013 by Uta Bonacker Regazzoni, who previously was Head of HR in HugoBoss, HR Director Supply Chain Ermenegildo Zegna and VP HR Guess EMEA.
Our HQ is in Lugano near Milano, with branches in Zürich, Zug and London. Our team consists of seven executive consultants, each from management backgrounds within our core focus.
We operate on an international scale, working with important global brands.

Our clients' company was established in 2014 with the aim to acquire existing shopping centres across Europe by using the expertise of its operating partners. Goal was also to enhance their performance in order to provide strong investment returns for their stakeholders. These returns are achieved via the creation of shopping environments, which attract high quality domestic and international brands and their discerning customers. Our client has been structured in a way that enables them to react quickly to acquisition opportunities that may arise in the market. The fund presently consists of 11 assets in 9 different countries. Its principal stakeholders include Dutch pension fund asset manager APG and UK REIT Hammerson plc.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
As the Head of Retail you are responsible for the total Retail operations. You will have the overall responsibility for the Retail strategy and together with the whole Retail team you will focus on maximizing business opportunities. In this role we are looking for someone who is strong in the operations side of the business as well as the strategic side. You are also a strong team player and a real people manager. Drive the Retail Strategy
Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with the stores through ongoing communication and coaching
Provide vision, direction and leadership to the Retail Team in order to achieve budgeted sales targets
Always drive the best hospitality initiatives & best customer service to deliver memorable shopping experience
Identify future business needs and implement strategies to enhance brands’ performance
Work closely with other team members (Marketing, Finance, Legal, Leasing, Operations) and stake holders to create a strong and stable management team which is capable of successfully running the day-to-day business of the Retail Organization
Work closely with the Marketing Managerand Leasing Manager to provide input into the marketing campaigns and leasing activities as well as innovative marketing ideas to drive and maximise sales and traffic to the stores
Look closely with the Retail Teams to develop budgets and reforecasts, analyze sales trends and continuously focus on performance and compliance to budgets.
- Proven experience in a Senior Retail management role within the international Fashion Retail
- Developed analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude
- Good decision-making capabilities
- Leadership and team building skills, and well-developed and articulate communication skills
- Interaction and communication skills across all levels of a business
- Innovative mindset
- Fluency in German and English (both spoken and written)
- Ability to think strategically and to anticipate and plan for greater results
- Good commercial instincts, common sense, hands-on approach and ability to ask the right questions is a must
