Quality Assurance Specialist (Temporary)

With more than 25 brands, Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) is the global leader in prestige beauty, known for skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care products. In Switzerland, ELC has the main supply chain hub for Travel Retail and EMEA.
Due to ELC's strong growth, we are now hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist with a focus on our distribution center to support the increase in warehouse activities such as inventory control, inventory management and reconciliation.
Issues Resolution/Continuous Improvement (60%)
- Execute stock checks, stock statuses changes and support global holds and local blocks in SAP- Assist the Global QA with communication and follow up on finished good defect investigations and non-conformance noticed on products stored in distribution centers in Switzerland- Ensure sampling process is managed appropriately in cases of quality defects and further investigations- Support stock reconciliation and assist with Value Added Services and rework processes locally- Assist checking returns for QA standards for final disposition - Identify and review deviations, determine root cause, and develop CAPAs in collaboration Quality and Distributions staff to address product quality issues and GMP related activities- Certify CAPA completion and effectiveness - Escalate critical issues to Quality/Distributions leadership as required- Investigate critical customer and consumer complaints- Disposition out-of-spec materials, as directed- Monitor progress against improvement initiatives identified by Quality Engineer and Quality Manager
Document Review & Auditing (30%)
- Conduct the documentation reviews in the quality team and provide feedback to the distribution as applicable for compliance with existing procedures and instructions, and verify the effectiveness of procedures and instructions versus ELC requirements and needs- Perform final (where applicable) review of executed batch records and disposition - Initiate, revise and review of controlled documentation including procedures, investigations, deviations, and reports- Participate in routine GMP, internal and corporate audits- Support and align to appropriate data integrity guidelines
Training/Coaching (10%)
- Provide training and coaching to Distribution on topics such as SOP, GMP and root cause analysis- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry, Quality or Logistics- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality assurance with cosmetic, food or pharmaceutical products or in another regulated industry- Knowledge of OTC Manufacturing is a plus - Ability to interpret and assess operational compliance against Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations (FDA, KFDA, HC, ISO22716)- Ability to execute and coach teams in root cause problem solving and associated Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)- Ability to identify and drive process improvement opportunities by partnering with cross functional stakeholders- Ability to execute, summarize and manage process audits in the manufacturing areas- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to appropriately communicate information to cross functional stakeholders and suppliers- Knowledge and ability to execute statistical sampling, AQL/ANSI interpretation, and read/interpret specifications, drawings and compounding/assembly instructions- Ability to utilize standard tools and equipment (such as scale, fill weight, cap torque, viscometer, pH meter, pull force, seal burst, and other relevant equipment)- Ability to review SOP's, GMP reports, batch records and investigations- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic QMS, and SAP systems is preferred- Six sigma certification is a plus- Knowledge of SAP or other Warehouse/Inventory Management System- Willing to be hands on and pay attention to detail- English and German proficiency level is required
