International Luxury Fashion Group, one of the world's leaders in the design, production and distribution of leather goods, footwear and ready-to-wear is looking for an:

Intellectual Property Consultant

to join its Lugano team.

Description du poste

The position reports into the Group Intellectual Property Director and contemplates a full-time counseling activity related to the protection and defense of all intellectual property rights, focusing particularly in trademarks, designs and copyrights protection, portfolio management, as well as brands’ enforcement.

Key accountabilities:
•Defining with the Group Intellectual Property Director the strategies for the protection of the brands portfolio and related budget;
•Advising on each phase of the life of the trademarks and designs from application to prosecution, registration and renewals, collecting the evidences and activating and managing related actions, both directly and/or with the assistance of external consultants at a worldwide level in order to ensure the implementation of the strategies to defend the Group interests;
•Researching, assessing and preparing opinions on infringement risks of new design, trademarks and subnomen for the Company and its licensees;
•Providing IP clearances, prior art availability searches and legal researches and solutions advises;
•Support in preparing legal analysis, opinions, memoranda and IP assessments;
•Drafting and reviewing different documents (e.g. agreements; assignment contracts, letter of consent; releases, C&D letters).

Profil recherché

 
The Ideal Candidate requirements:
  • Degree in Law, a master in Intellectual property Law will be a plus;
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in Intellectual Property developed in international law firm and/or Group in house;
  • Good experience in clearances, searches and related advises;
  • Team work attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and problem solving attitude;
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
  • Full commitment in terms of time and effort;
  • Excellent knowledge of English both spoken and written, others foreign languages and international experience are a must;
  • Proficient in using all Office applications.
