Buyer Fabrics (d/f/m)

Your tasks:
  • Independent monitoring of fabric purchasing for an assigned product group
  • Sourcing and development of outer fabrics in cooperation with the design department
  • Attending trade shows and organizing supplier submissions in-house
  • Communication with suppliers worldwide
  • Negotiation of price and delivery conditions
  • Ensuring timely and demand-oriented provision of fabrics for sampling and production
  • Master data maintenance and order monitoring in SAP/PDM
  • Monitoring and optimization of supplier performance
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and sustainability requirements
  • Close cooperation with design, brand management, quality assurance, production planning
Required experience and skills:
  • Successfully completed degree in textile or clothing technology
  • Ideally 2-3 years of professional experience in the purchasing or procurement of fabrics
  • Good command of English
  • Profound IT skills, especially in MS Excel and ideally in SAP
  • Independent, careful and goal-oriented way of working
  • Numerical reasoning and analytical skills
  • Team spirit as well as strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion and enthusiasm for fashion and lifestyle
