Senior Store Manager/Junior Retail District Manager, (US American shoes brand), Lugano ​

Our client is a US American publicly held multi-billion-dollar global leader in the footwear industry.

For more than two decades, they’ve built their extensive collections of lifestyle and performance footwear including more than 3,000 styles for men, women and children.Trend-forward, comfortable and innovative, their footwear options meet any need or occasion. And with the addition of apparel and accessories, the brand now stretches from head to toe and beyond.

The brand is entering the European market and we are looking for young talents to be part of this exciting project. You will soon grow from a Senior Store Manager role into a Junior District Manager role, once you have built your team. We need somebody with an entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on and also strategic, used to a fast paced and fast growing business environment. A problem shooter with a “no ego” approach and excellent people management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

The function of the Senior Store Manager/Junior Retail District Manager is supposed to

help building up three stores: one in Lugano and two in the German speaking part of Switzerland and then run the growing team. And more in the future.
oversee the overall operation of retail stores within an assigned territory. The junior retail district manager is tasked with ensuring that the various retail stores are running smoothly and that the stores meet their . Individual store managers are usually interviewed and hired by the district manager.

Main activities:

Oversees the functions of all departments of the stores /Distrcict
Scouting for locations and opening stores, hiring store managers
Strategizes sales and marketing plans to drive revenue into the stores
Applies Retail KPIs (UPT, conversion rate, etc).
Responsible for delivering exceptional levels of service, managing performance, motivating and developing people
Ensures that the stores looks attractive by participating during the arrangement of merchandise in the store with the Visual Department
Responsible for monitoring training and implementing training procedures for store managers and staff
Recruits and trains store managers and staff
Supports the store managers in ensuring that merchandise is replenished regularly and the store is never out of stock
Evaluates sales reports and customer feedbacks and forwards this info to the head office
Implements CRM activities
Helps controlling the store inventory and ensures the maintenance of the standards of goods
Thinks of new initiatives to enhance the growth of the business
Sets SMART sales targets for the sales teams and periodically reviews them
Uses different strategies to handle customer problems and complaints together with his/her team

Profil recherché

- minimum 5 years senior store management experience
- hiring and people management skills
- experience in shoes industry a big plus
- needs to know the local customer network (Lugano/German speaking part of Switzerland)
- very good German, Italian and good English
- energetic, customer oriented, friendly personality with high ethics standards and a very “young and fresh” approach, who can easily engage clients and his/her team.
