As part of the eCommerce team, the Online Merchandising Manager is responsible for executing on plans that have been developed to reach our business objectives and deliver a great consumer experience.
The ideal candidate will be focused on ensuring a high level of product accuracy for our online assortment and able to react to selling trends based on analysis. Using your eye for detail and genuine interest in retail and product, you will create a great online shopping experience truly relevant and engaging for our European Customer.
Working closely with the product and buying teams, you will use your knowledge of search, navigation and commercial layout to ensure our online offering is fully optimized.
•Establish and cultivate working relations with Buying and Marketing teams.
•Work with Canada HQ to ensure styles are shot and uploaded onto the server in a timely manner.
•Communicate with Buying and Product Development to ensure copy and data accuracy.
•Support eCom Team with digital account imagery and copy requests.
•Execute GTM strategy – ensure stock is in-place and content and imagery in-place. Work with multiple departments to align business strategy (Marketing, Buying, Planning, Distribution)
•Feedback to Buying & wider business customer review info, website search demands etc
Merchandising & Trading
•Responsible for the representation of product and visual merchandising.
•Product set-up, including category mapping, image audit reports and product sequencing
•Navigation set-up and revision, including the creation of product galleries to support merchandising plans
•Merchandise products within categories and create stories based on business requirements, margin, stock availability and sell through
•Execute Monthly web-plans (content refreshes, trading actions, product pushes, top stories)
•Execute creation of brand appropriate web categories and stories based on search demand, web trading, new releases, marketing stories and strategy.
•Conduct audits of the website to check that everything is merchandised correctly and that website is attractively presented to consumers.
•Manual promotion set-up including web pricing and online exclusive promotions.
•Execute boost plans and promotions liaising with Planning and Buying teams for pricing and margin strategy
•Select product and topics to be featured in website refreshes, banners, special promotions, newsletters.
•Execute merchandising activations for new country web-stores as per strategy defined by eCommerce Director.
•Activate web merchandising changes according to Brand Marketing plan defined by Marketing, Sales & Operations and eCom Leadership.
•Supply wider business with insights on product and category level (trends, bestsellers, returns etc).
•Responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly business and trading reporting
•Provide insights on Market competitive landscape and update eCom Team with emerging trends, collaborations and innovations.
•Support eCommerce Team (Global) with ad-hoc info/data requests incl. presentation creations
- Bachelor’s degree in a Fashion, Business, Marketing, Communications or related program
- At least 3 years Retail, eCommerce or Online experience
- People management skills a must
- Sharp analytical skills and computer knowledge with a strong knowledge of Excel
- Working knowledge of content management systems (Hybris eCommerce platform a plus)
- Proactive and able to drive initiatives to constantly improve offering and results
- Strong local market and customer awareness (eg UK, Germany, France, Italy etc)
- Great attitude and influencing skills. A strong team player with ability to multi-task
- Confident working in a fast-paced business and digital environment with multiple teams across Europe and North America
- Ability to identify opportunities to drive business
- Good time management, prioritization and organizational skills
- High proficiency in English, other European languages a plus
